He also provided exercises to develop this ability. His first pupils had been the two daughters of the mathematician George Boole. He married Mary Boole, but Alicia Boole was able to outperform Hinton at these exercises; and through her visualization of 4-d objects she aided in the hyperspace work of the mathematician H.S.M. Coxeter, whose graphs are the keys to hyperspace, especially as it is applied in physics.
